Other Notable Works as a Dancer
(Colombia - 2004 - 2010)
Between 2002 and 2010, I had the privilege of collaborating as a creative performer in works by renowned choreographers, from whom I learned immensely and who deeply influenced the development of my own creative projects and choreographic work. This section highlights some of the most significant moments of that time, paying tribute to the choreographers, artists, and dancers with whom I had the honour of collaborating and growing.
La Razón de las Ofelias
Colombia (2008)
The Reason of the Ophelias – A Haunting Dance Exploration of Schizophrenia
Directed by Tino Fernández and dramaturged by Juliana Reyes, The Reason of the Ophelias is a poetic and intense contemporary dance production by L’Explose, performed at Teatro de Bellas Artes de Cafam in Bogotá before touring Spain and France. Inspired by the tragic figure of Ophelia, the piece delves into the complexities of schizophrenia, portraying its emotional and psychological turmoil through fragmented movement and haunting imagery.
Accompanied by the evocative violin performance of Ara Malikian, dancers Leyla Castillo, Marisol Rozo, Lina Gaviria, Ángela Cristina Bello, Natalia Bedoya, Yuri Táutiva, and Vivian Núñez Medina bring to life a world of despair and beauty, embodying Ophelia’s torment with striking intensity.
Devenir
Colombia (2007)
Devenir – A creative and choreographic exploration directed by the choreographer Julio César Galeano, awarded a dance grant from the Instituto Distrital de Cultura y Turismo in 2007. This work engaged with the profound theme of forced displacement, intertwining theatre, dance, voice, and visual imagery to reflect its emotional and physical toll. I was honoured to be invited to collaborate with a talented team of creatives and dancers, whose professionalism and artistry made this exploration truly impactful.
Escualo
Directed by Eduardo Ruiz Vergara, Escualo is a daring and immersive performance that invites audiences to witness the birth of a new being—the fish-man—who emerges from the city's fountains, dismantling illusions and fears in all who gaze upon him. This innovative fusion of dance, music, and video creates a mesmerizing visual adventure.

Colombia (2002)
This choreographic work, directed by Eduardo Ruiz in 2002 and featuring Ángel Ávila, Claudia Salgado, and Vivian Medina, was my first professional theatre production with a dance company, where I was invited to perform that same year. In profound reverence and gratitude to my fellow artists—mentors on my journey, both in art and in life.
