Mud & Gold: Memories of Violence, Anxiety, Death & Re-Birth

This solo work marked my first choreographic exploration in New Zealand, deeply rooted in autobiographical references. By delving into personal memories of violence and anxiety, the piece was shaped from a series of improvisation maps, which helped me uncover choreographic material. In this process, I was drawn to explore how the autobiographical approach opens the deep fissures of our lives, revealing both personal and professional dimensions. The work also reflected insights from my meditation practice, particularly regarding anxiety and violence, as I sought to transform these experiences into movement.
