A woman prepares for the journey, embracing uncertainty as she surrenders to the depths of the sea. She wraps herself in the warmth of a leaf, inscribed with the wisdom of survival—a guide to endure the passage, to reach the distant shore where nostalgia dissolves.

This piece was created as part of the *Colombia-Mexico Artistic Residency 2007*,awarded to Abdiel Villaseñor, co-director of the Mexican company *La Serpiente*, and developed in collaboration with dancers from the Colombian company *Estantres Danza*. I had the privilege of collaborating with Villaseñor, in the creation of this intimate work, shaped under his artistic direction.
